Integrated real-virtual validation and AI readiness

18 Mar 2026
Day 1
This presentation addresses two key themes: the current state of integrated real-virtual validation (virtual testing) and the evolution of virtual testing development environments in response to AI. First, the presentation reviews a range of X-in-the-Loop (XIL) use cases applied across different testing domains, supported by video demonstrations. It also analyzes recent XIL trends, including software-defined vehicles (SDV), digital twins and simulation standards, providing insight into the current landscape and future direction of integrated real-virtual validation. Second, the presentation discusses how virtual testing environments must evolve to support the development and validation of end-to-end (E2E) AI models. As AI models become increasingly complex, the challenges faced by virtual testing are examined, along with strategic directions and preparation approaches for building efficient and reliable AI validation environments. Overall, this presentation aims to assess the present state of integrated real-virtual validation and deliver practical insights for preparing for the AI-driven development era.
