Complete Spindle Load Measurement with Proven Accuracy and Durability


Michigan Scientific Wheel Force Transducers output three forces, three moments, three accelerations, wheel speed, and wheel position signals to deliver complete spindle load data with proven accuracy. This full signal set enables high-confidence vehicle dynamics evaluation, durability analysis, brake development, traction studies, and model validation.

Each system combines a high-strength, lightweight transducer with weatherproof protective coatings and an IP67-rated design for reliable operation in harsh environments. From motorcycles to Class 8 trucks and heavy construction equipment, Michigan Scientific offers models spanning light, medium, and heavy-duty platforms with load capacities up to 700 kN.

Real-Time Data Processing with CT3 Electronics


The CT3 Wheel Force Transducer Interface Box performs real-time coordinate transformation, crosstalk correction, offset correction, and polarity correction. Setup is simplified through an embedded webpage interface accessible via USB, while front-panel controls enable quick Zero, Shunt Calibration, and Zero Angle functions.

Multiple output options are available, including CAN FD, CAN 2.0, EtherCAT, Ethernet with IEEE 1588 synchronization, and analog, providing flexibility for modern DAQ architectures. Our Wheel Force Transducer systems are compatible with modern open measurement platforms such as openDAQ.

Flexible Architecture and Fast Installation


Michigan Scientific Wheel Force Transducer systems can be configured with either an outboard slip ring assembly for fast setup or an inboard wireless telemetry package for public road and extreme off-road testing. Custom aluminum rim adapters and titanium hub adapters are designed for efficient integration across vehicle platforms.
