AI Labeling of Test Drive Video

At the expo, Aptiv Connected Services will highlight Video Insights, our AI-driven video labeling service. Part of the Aptiv Connect Qualifier vehicle validation solution, Video Insights uses a vehicle data recorder (VDR) and a camera system to record what is happening in and around vehicles during testing. Advanced AI then labels the video, identifying weather conditions, bridges, tunnels, pedestrians, vehicles, street signs, and more. It can also quantify many of those labels with tags. For example, it can tell you a bus was coming toward the test vehicle at 20 km/h or that the weather was 50% overcast. At the same time, Video Insights blurs faces and license plates, providing the anonymity required by privacy regulations.

Video Insights feeds those labels, tags, and video data into the Qualifier web application, enabling search and reporting. Dashboards keep track of ADAS feature activations, providing a high-level overview and allowing you to drill down into the details for troubleshooting.
