Accurate measurement begins with system-level thinking. Our engineers approach every project as a complete measurement architecture, ensuring that sensors, signal conditioning, transmission, and data acquisition work together to produce reliable results. We provide equipment and engineering support at any stage of the process, from sensor placement and load path integration to signal transmission and data acquisition. Whether a customer requires a fully integrated system or a single product, we take the time to understand the application, operating conditions, and performance requirements.

We instrument OEM and custom components alike, whether the application involves rotating driveline shafts, wheel-end systems, suspension links, steering components, or structural vehicle elements. Strain gauges and sensors are installed with careful consideration of signal quality, durability, and long-term reliability. In addition, we design and integrate load cells directly into structural or test stand load paths to measure forces within complete assemblies while maintaining structural integrity and realistic loading conditions.

Signal transmission is engineered with equal care. Michigan Scientific designs and manufactures instrumentation-grade slip rings and telemetry systems specifically for high-performance rotating measurement applications. For rotating components, transmission is achieved using either slip ring assemblies or telemetry systems, selected based on speed, channel count, packaging constraints, and environmental demands.
